'Wind' is one of my favorite mosaic-like paintings. It was part of a series of four paintings, one for each element (air, fire, water, earth). It was exhibited in SOLO shows at the Center for Performing Arts in Mountain View, CA, James Irvine Gallery at Stanford University, Kaleid Gallery in San Jose, Norton Gallery in Palo Alto, and other group gallery shows also in California. It appeared on TV in the show 'Talk Art: Mosaic Patterns of Life' which aired in the San Francisco Bay Area and in New York.
About Mariana Barnes
Mariana Barnes is a self taught, award winning artist who has been painting since 1987. Her unique and recognizable style has appeared in numerous San Francisco Bay Area galleries, publications and venues, including TV shows, one of which “Talk Art: Mosaic patterns of life” also aired in Manhattan, New York. She has also exhibited her work in Los Angeles and Sonoma, California, and has collectors from around the US, Argentina and Australia. She has also heard from fans in Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Brazil. She is represented by KALEID Gallery in San Jose, CA and the Pacific Art League Gallery in Palo Alto, CA....
