This painting won first place at a Society of Local Artists of Silicon Valley show. It was shown in SOLO exhibitions at the Center for Performing Arts in Mountain View, CA, Norton Gallery in Palo Alto, CA, Kaleid Gallery in San Jose, CA, James Irvine Gallery at Stanford University and various other group exhibitions. It was featured on the front page of the Palo Alto Weekly. It was shown on the TV show "The Sport of Motherhood".

Mariana Barnes is a self taught, award winning artist who has been painting since 1987. Her unique and recognizable style has appeared in numerous San Francisco Bay Area galleries, publications and venues, including TV shows, one of which “Talk Art: Mosaic patterns of life” also aired in Manhattan, New York. She has also exhibited her work in Los Angeles and Sonoma, California, and has collectors from around the US, Argentina and Australia.
